GREAT Expectations!

Great Expectations is a book that I never did get to finish reading by the GREAT Charles Dickens. A Classic often listed by literary enthusiasts amongst the top titles in the repertoire of literature students.

Still I am thinking on a different perspective of how persons who live GREAT lifestyles have GREAT expectations of us lesser privileged folks.

With all of our stress, pressure, strain pains even and the struggle that we face in our not so great lifestyles, we are always still expected to be the one to make the effort to acknowledge and come to them every time. Expecting that "great" persons will always be instantly recognised, that everyone will already know them.

I think the privileged classes take alot of things for granted, so I guess this is what "they" mean by that expression "ignorant bliss". Surely they realise that it may still be necessary for them to introduce themselves, not expecting everyone, everywhere knows who they are already. Expecting them always to come to them…

"Great expectations" of being treated better than everyone else all of the time, of always maintaining their lofty position.

Surely they realise that it maybe necessary at times to initiate contact with a "REGULAR" person.
